This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for rural Congo to 2024. In 2022, the estimated Living Wage was XAF 108,338 (USD 172) per month as reported in the original report2. The updated Anker Living Wage for 2024 is XAF 116,780 (USD 192), compromised of a Net Living Wage of XAF 111,121 (USD 183) plus social security and income tax of XAF 5,559 (USD 9)3. This update takes into account the accumulated inflation from June 2022 to June 2024. Accumulated inflation in this period was 7.8%4.
