Jesús David Aban Tamayo

Jesús David Aban Tamayo, who holds an MSc in Development Economics and Statistics from the University of Bordeaux, France, is an independent researcher based in Mexico. His research interests lie in comprehending and addressing issues related to social development and inequality, particularly focusing on vulnerable communities such as indigenous populations.

David actively engages in social policy evaluations, specializing in impact assessments. He utilizes robust quantitative and qualitative methodologies to gauge the effectiveness of interventions. He has collaborated with various national and international organizations, including the International Labour Organization (ILO), Laureus Sports for Good, the National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (CONEVAL), Research Institute for Equitable Development (EQUIDE), and the Espinosa Yglesias Research Centre (CEEY). 

His extensive body of work encompasses publications and reports on a wide range of topics, including education, intergenerational social mobility, health, food security, employment and the labor market, living wage, and the economic implications of maternity leave.
