Reference Value Report: Living Wage Report and 2024 Update for Urban Thailand

This report updates the Anker Living Wage Reference Value for urban Thailand to June 2024.2 In the original report of 2022, the estimated gross living wage for workers in urban areas of Thailand was THB 14,202 per month. The updated Anker Net Living Wage for urban Thailand in 2024 is THB 13,607 per month, while the Anker Gross Living Wage is THB 14,324 per month. Inflation in this period was 0.86%.3 Without accounting for inflation, Living Wage estimated for 2022 would not be sufficient for families to have a basic but decent standard of living in 2024, because the purchasing power of the living income would have decreased. This report also considers income tax and social security contributions using the most up-to-date tax laws.
