Syarifah Marlina AlMazhir

Syarifah Marlina AlMazhir is a social development practitioner and a program planning, monitoring, and evaluation consultant. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), United Kingdom and has over 20 years of experience working with various international donors/NGOs/companies in a range of development sectors including sustainable rural livelihood, natural resource management, disaster risk reduction, and community-based initiatives. She has conducted more than 20 project evaluations, baseline/endline survey, and research. She is a cofounder and director of Yayasan Aceh Hijau (www.yayasanacehhijau.org), a national NGO based in Aceh Province - Indonesia working on local capacity strengthening and promoting sustainable development.

Syarifah conducted the assessment of living income for small coffee producers in Aceh, Indonesia for Fairtrade International (2019 – 2021) and the assessment of the cost of sustainable coffee production in India, Vietnam, Indonesia for Fairtrade International (2022). She was also a co-writer in the development of Aceh Sustainable Palm Oil Roadmap (2023) which has now been published and legalised as a Governor Decree to guide the government and investors in developing sustainable palm Oil for the next 25 years in Aceh, Indonesia. In 2023, Syarifah conducted a Living Income Study for small Robusta coffee producers in Lampung Province Indonesia. She is now also conducting a similar study for Arabica coffee producers in Aceh Province, Indonesia.
